Symptoms of ovarian cancer are not specific to the disease, and they often mimic those of many other more-common conditions, including digestive and bladder problems.
When ovarian cancer symptoms are present, they tend to be persistent and worsen with time. Signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer may include:
Abdominal pressure, fullness, swelling or bloating
Pelvic discomfort or pain
Persistent indigestion, gas or nausea
Changes in bowel habits, such as constipation
Changes in bladder habits, including a frequent need to urinate
Loss of appetite or quickly feeling full
Increased abdominal girth or clothes fitting tighter around your waist
A persistent lack of energy
Low back pain

  • Thank-you so much for posting regarding ovarian cancer. Everything that you say in your video is true. I was diagnosed with OC, in June 2010. The only symptom I had was a tingling sensation around my navel and then a tender bladder. I was diagnosed with stage IIIC. I had extensive surgery and finished chemo the end of Jan. and unfortunately, as is very common, It looks like I am having a recurrence. My CA 125 is starting rise. There is no cure for OC.

  • @starzhere I am soo sorry to hear that. I have taken care of quite a few patients with OC & the start of it for them was always very benign & sadly one of the last things anyone looked for. I don't know why they don't just yank those things outta everyone who wishes to have them out. I had a TAH for fibroids & added the BSO for that very reason. Did not need them or want them anymore :) People are living longer and longer with cancer-I wish you all the best! Thank you for watching! xo Jan

  • i appreciate any videos helping to raise awareness of disease, so thanks for that. you look nothing lke nora batty, how offensive! i love the roller curls on you, you make me want to get set. oh and please do blog tv, i would be there with bells on!

  • Thank you for doing this video .People do not want to be reminded about the disease and mortality but if I paid more attention I would not be in a situation of incurable cancer. I did not have many symptoms other than persistent lack of energy but I was too'' busy'' to take it seriously:)

  • Great cause, best way is to make sure women get their pap's. I think that is the only way of any early detection. Great give away Jan. I would like to see more videos of your pets please.(not that I don't like watching you)lol

  • I think it would be fun to see a video like the My makeup story tag. Find out what the beauty world was like for you when you were a younger lady.

  • Excellent subject and well presented, Janners. Thank you! I'd be very interested in hearing about hormone replacement and how it ties to osteoporosis, if there is any benefit. Osteo is another condition that affects many women our age and might be a great topic of discussion.

    Your hair is gorgeous!!!!!

  • Thank you for doing this video!!! You look fabulous today and I love the curls.....I would love you to do a nail polish video with your favorites and nail routine. I think you did one some time ago but I would love to see your favorite colors. HUGS Kim

  • I am so glad you did this. I have a subscriber, who is dealing with this, ask me to mention Sept. O C Awareness month. I couldn't speak about it because I don't know much about it to talk about. So I just put it in the written part of my YT.

You did a wonderful job with this. Beautiful gift. I never win, but IF I did - I nominate my subscriber to get it.

Ah, HRT - I'm on them for life! Been on since age 56 or so....

You look beautiful! Love the curls!! xoxo Susan

  • P.S. I nearly wet myself with the NB bit ! You are a star.
