Noodling around to provide an idea of the range of tone. Guitar is a 70s Gibson L-6S.

  • Thanks. I think.

It is a Comet 40. There's no "putting in" the Dr Z. It's a simple plug and play between the back of the chassis and the speaker. Super simple. You should take a look at the KT Metropolitan too, which allows you to play at lower volumes with full tone, without a separate attenuator.

  • Nice sounding amp! Best wishes, T

  • Thanks. I actually made this video for a buddy to listen to, so it's not very well done. I will try to post one with better playing.

  • I had this amp listed for sale for about 30 minutes once before I came to my senses. The more I play it, the more I love it, and have no plans to sell. They show up on eBay from time to time at around $1,300. Not cheap, but no worse than others in a similar category.

  • Thanks. The Metropolitan is three grand and they are so hot now they sell for retail. Any chance you might be selling your amp in the near future?

  • I want that amp! Please leave your address so I can rob your house.

Is that a Comet 20 or 40? Who put the doctor Z in it? This may be the perfect setup for me. Thanks.
