The Debt Ceiling under President Reagan was raised eighteen times to a total of $1.85 trillion (See Table 7.3). This is less than the $3 trillion-plus already raised under President Obama! Raising the Ceiling 18 times during the eight Reagan years meant a Ceiling battle every 5.3 months (on average), with an average rise of only $102 billion per increase. So… does Obama really want to get the Reagan Treatment?
The rich are getting richer. Their effective tax rate, in recent years, has been reduced to the lowest in modern history. Nurses, teachers and firemen actually pay a higher tax rate than some billionaires
@juugoolart......lol!!! You think the American government " spends the money to improve the country".? lol!!! You cant just feed them more money to bail out wall street bankers, and bomb other country's. Obviously that's your idea of spending money well spent. Now they wanna raise the debt ceiling just to get them threw another 6 months and keep a 5 star credit rating. The government is spending us into hyper inflation. Its become obvious they are purposely trying to collapse its own economy.
yeah tax the fuckin rich.. I don't know the tax system in and out in the states but in Canada the tax system is so skewed that the poorest income bracket $25-30,000 will pay an average of 30.7% in taxes, when the top tier of $250,000 and above will pay 30.5%. Have a graduated tax system that works. See the facts that tax cuts have done nothing for job creation and that corporations have sat on their increased amount of capital. FUCK EM, TAX EM a bit more!!
@Neosaigo Actually I was born in the USSR and emigrated here when I was old enough to see socialism in its overdrive. So, actually, I am anything but ignorant.
@juugoolart Well, maybe in Australia government spends money to imporove the country. Here,we incarcerate people for non violent acts where noone's life or property was taken away. And as far as you giving what you can, so do the "mega-rich", they, too, give what they can.

@Akus75038 Actually your comments perfectly demonstrate the U.S ignorance on what socialism even is.
