Ok no one here knows wtf they're talking about, the 15 month tours usually are for personell in the army and yes they suck and all but now most bases in Iraq are bigger and have just as much shit (if not more) than the ones here, ex. pools, PX, movie theater, even burger king. And yes they joined knowing they would be deployed so don't feel bad for them, They volunteered, and Marine Recon is a 9 month school so think the training is more extensive than any green berret school.

If the Marine Corps isn't a real branch and thats all we do i guess that everyone is wrong for sending us all back to Afghanistan to fix what the army fucked up because we got pulled from there to save your asses in Iraq.
