  • Hey, we were told by our surgeon that heavy women have high levels of estrogen, and that when you have WLS, those levels start to dramatically drop. So, your body is basically going through the feelings of menopause. He perscribed us estrogen patches for mood swings. I know this is an old video. But wanted to throw this thought out there.

  • P.S. Did you notice that even your voice has changed... and your speech.. WOW!!! You look and sound terrriiiffffiiiccccc!!!!! I am so proud of you babe

  • About the depression... Most people experience it w/in the first 3 months... Just think you have had MAJOR changes moving, surgery, new lifestyle, and loss of body/food... Do not chalk it up to clinical depression until you cannot firmly point a finger to any stressors. Right now you have a TON of stressors including Birth control/hormone changes, Just wait it out.. YOU GOT THIS BABE!!! Go through the feelings completly, do not push it down, somehow I feel most of us got here doing just that!!

  • That's really good advice Angela, thank you. The burial of all foods once enjoyed is still happening and I think it's subconsciously affecting me. Thanks so much for your support!

  • Congradulations! I'm so happy for you and it's great that you're getting it covered. Please keep us updated :)

  • You're completely right and I don't know why I didn't consider that before. I guess I thought a physician would be sufficient.
