after a flood of that destruction its worth building new. i have rebuilt some homes that were flooded but if this house was near were the levees broke this house had front row seats to the flood.

There was nothing worth fixing. This house was near where the levees broke and only the tiniest bit of the peak of the home was sticking out of the water. The house was a total loss. The realities of what happened here have obviously escaped you.
