Moon demo running on the Tandy Color Computer 3.
This was a test demo to see if the CoCo could pull off multi-scrolling with graphics overlayed on top. The demo uses a combination of hardware trickery plus graphics drawn on top of the segmented multi-scrolling screen.

  • This demo is amazing. How can you scroll by 1 pixel step? Thumbs up!

  • It scrolls by 2 pixel steps by using the 256-byte wide mode and dividing the screen into two 128-byte copies side-by-side, 2nd copy stored at an odd byte boundry. It alternates between the two when scrolling. (Similar trick used in "Demo 1" for the wavy Sock Master logo.)

  • Awesome demo - love to see the game! Seriously great work.

  • can't wait for mark @ cloud9 to get my goodies to me ! It's been FAR too long since I've operated a coco. Was elated to find cloud9 's offferings.....

  • One day you should turn this idea into a moon patrol tribute game...if you have the spare time...it would be fun to see. The DK and Pacman games are awesome... Moon patrol is a natural.
