  • I've MANY panics attack in my life. The first ones started when I was like 12 years old, they were more like some kind of derealization or confusion. I couldn't know if I was living the real world or in a dream. I remember I cried a lot, it was one of the worst experiences in my life. The second one and the worst one was when I moved from my country to the United States. I was 15 years old. I had depression and I thought I was possessed by a demon. They're bad, but they can be controlled by you.

  • I've had a few panic attacks, the first one I ever had was in college. I had an arguement with my teacher, which caused me to cry and shake so much, my heart was beating faster, I struggled to breathe next thing I knew I had a paper bag over my mouth and nose...was a horrid experience, I'm thankful they rarely happen to me now.

  • @ElvisFerbeyre I've had similar experiences in my childhood as well. I remember this constant feeling of something bad was going to happen or that there was something wrong. I lot a lot of sleep over it and as a result my school or suffered. I hadn't realized what was actually going on at the time but now I know they were anxiety attacks. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who went through this but I'm also not glad to see it because it means other people suffered as well.

  • Good Video series Mr. McD. U captured the intensity without over dramatization. Obviously everyone's anxiety is different but they all have similar sensations we feel. If people only realized that they're not going 2 die, it just feels like it. Most of the time it's the results of all the UN-resolved stresses in life. All the gadgets we use, increase the stimulus we're bombarded with. Use stress reduction DAILY because stress makes U sick. 85% of all Dr visits R manifestations of 2 MUCH STRESS!

  • omg i have 2 sometimes 3 a day, I find it so hard to go to school or just to leave the house i can not go out with my friends with out having one

  • Wow... Thank you for this! I'm only, and I say ONLY because it's the first time in my life, that it's ever happened to me. Like most young people, I used to laugh at people who told me they had a panic/anxiety attack, even watched videos of people having them here on youtube and the internet.

Just last week, I had one; Heart racing, no idea what was going on, suddenly clostrophobic, feeling of imminent DOOM, confusion glaore, feeling 'tingly', cannot sit or lie down, I HAD to pace around...

  • So good to see all these comments where all can relate :) Helps alot tbh, I almost had one today at school, started with my breath, couldn't breath properly. then i got shakes and cold sweat. and suddenly became dizzy. As I'm thinking for myself omg this is a panic attack, and its all my brain. So I left school, had some fresh air and went home, started thinking about good things and appreciate life, and i lay down in my bed, and slept for a bit, when I woke up I went for a jog. helped alot!

  • My first panic attack was nearly 10 years ago and this video pretty much describes what happened to me. Through breathing techniques and a short bout with meds, my attacks went away and nothing major happened again... until this summer. The anxiety and panic attacks returned with a vengeance. As with the first time, lack of sleep, overworking, junk food, laziness, and hot summer days triggered it all. I know and keep telling myself it's anxiety but it's tough to shake that feeling off. Totally

  • Wow ;o i really recognize this ;x.. but it's also glad to know that i'm not the only one who has these problems ;d

  • I think this is exactly what I feel: healthmad det com has a story called "inside a panic attack" that gets close. Nobody knows what it's like and it's more horrible than you can even describe, but this shows you just the first four seconds of an attack,

  • ..cont. - Well, turns out my heart is fine, or so say the doc from the ecg and blood pressure and blood work. Cholesterol is amazingly good, and ecg looks like a metronome. I calmed down and started to suffer I guess general anxiety, everytime I go up the stairs, I expect it to happen. If I stop and wait for it, I think, "I'm ok" then it hits me again. I'm developing a fear of stairs. which is bad for someone who lives in Japan where stairs are EVERYWHERE. Any advice from anyone?

  • I got my first real panic attack about 8 months ago, the doctor said it was dehydration. So I started drinking like crazy and thought it would go away. No dice. About two months ago, after many random small anxiety attacks which I attributed to water and salt loss, I had another big one and the doctor said the same thing. Then 3 weeks ago, I went up some stairs and the heart sensation caused me to lose it. This one I thought was a real heart attack. Called the ambulance and went to the E.R. . .
