Child of This Universe - dance along

On 12/29/07, Faith experimented in her 1st dance along with the bold & beautiful audience at her "Peace Jam" concert held at the Whim Outdoor Stage in St. Croix. No one on the island really knew Faith or her music except for the awesome event coordinator, Cynthia Belden. So it took just a bit for the crowd to warm up - once they did, the "peace jam" & love jam was in full swing.

We heard from the organizers that they saw things they'd never seen before at concerts...people holding hands, swaying, shedding a tear or two, and even up in front dancing, feeling it & loving it (like the lil' boy in the video who was at first bummed that his mom dragged him to this workshop & concert).

The Whim Plantation has held some heavy memories of slavery & suffering for many of the locals...it was really everyone's intention to create new memories that night, in that space, filled with the energy of peace, love, & unity with the diverse peoples of St. Croix. We feel so grateful & humbled to have been a part of this magic!
