A Phoenix police K-9 and SWAT team capture a man who claimed he had a pipe bomb and engaged them in an hour-long standoff during rush hour. Needless to say Dog 1 - Suspect 0
I don't know what periesicsd was talking about, but he's aloud a opinion.
As far as I'm concerned it was a fairly normal procedure; they threw flash, it looked like the suspect threw something at which point the k9 was sent. The only problem I saw was that the handler didn't warn the suspect to not touch the k9, since they would have to shoot him if he puts his hand on the k9 face. (even if the suspect truly is trying to push k9 off him it's really easy to get a thumb in the k9 eyes)
@periesicsd You mean when they slow their approach to prevent people from walking in front of loaded weapons? The Dog bites hard? REALLY? Is that a fact? I thought it was supposed to lick suspects into submission? Wtf does that even mean it is biting hard? And the dog had the guy secure by 1 arm and the police had to ensure that he wasn't going to flail or endanger any officer (including the k9) before they actually pull the dog off. You just want to bitch at cops. Be logical dumbass.
@gat0rbball lol, you better get your head out of.... You do not see it??? You don't know much about people, or about body language now, do you?!?! Ok, this one isn't even body language at 0:17 , 0:18 , 0:19 there you see them, euh, "hurry" and slowing up. And don't come now about suspect armed and dangerous! And the rest at 0:19 to 1:05 ! Dog is biting HARD, and there are 12!!! yes 12 armed cops standing there and on the suspect!! 12 heavily armed cops + dog biting! yep, they were in a hurry :-(
@periesicsd Really? Where then? At what point did it happen? After a second watching of that video I would say that is a FAST retrieval of the dog. It is usually much harder to get the dog to release.
@periesicsd That is total crap. You can't "clearly" see that. They were ensuring that this guy was secured and compliant before the officer who was subduing the suspect would release his grip(meaning the dog).
Sounds like the guy is yelling "Get him off me! Get him off me!"
