Buckets of tears here! It never "mattered" what Luke did; Tony always delivered such heart-wrenching scenes with such depth of emotion that the viewers could forgive anything and realize the pain he was in and want him to come out good in the end. It's hard to watch him in that much pain and know that Laura was feeling that pain as well and just trying to protect her children. Luke was and still is such a good dad - not that TPTB remember that! Thanks!!!

your welcome. I love this scene, it always brings tears to my eyes. Luke has always been a great Dad. Like tony says Laura is Lukes humanity and when she isn't there that is gone. Glad you enjoyed it

I'm so glad to find another true fan of theirs who remembers all the great things that the actors have said about their characters! Another great comment Tony has made about Luke's devotion to Laura is that one of his lungs will always breathe for Laura!

Thanks I LOVE Luke and Laura have since 93. I am in the process of taken all the scenes off of vhs and putting them on dvd. Must say the scenes with luke and felicia and laura and stefan will NOT be making the dvd's LOL

The 3 of them should have won an emmy for this scene! I hate what the current GH has done to this family & these 3 characters in particular.

I think TG asked for the current storyline so he has something substantial to do on GH. He's now a supporting cast member and is fighting for strong storylines like the rest of the regular cast and I guess he thinks this Ethan's dad thing is the best way. Logically, Ethan should be Robert's biological son with Luke trying to be more of a father figure to him. To me that would play better dramatically. I don't buy that he cheated on Laura during their happy years. Just doesn't make sense.

IA. That is why I can't understand why people are saying that Tony is acting like he don't care about the fans, Luke&Laura, or what anyone thinks of the story he is doing now. I don't believe he would act in this way. Esp. toward the fans, the story or Genie. I absolutely believe that he adores her. Always have as will. People are saying he asked for this story. What do you guys think?
