It's all about the supporters, anyway. There's a heap of them that take the Catholic/Protestant divide to heart, but I bet they are not a great percentage when the whole lot are considered.

@blueulster87 True, and the first US player to don the blue strip (Claudio Reyna) was a Catholic as well. I think he was the sixth in the club's history. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

the most popular player at ibrox is catholic - NOVO so dont see how we hate catholics.
Gatusso , Gio , Amoroso, Arteta, Clement to name just a few
American here, Leeds fan but I've got to say, all the passion that pulls Americans to follow European soccer is embodied in Rangers and their fans.

haha, so what, should we go LOOKING for Catholics just to prove a point? should we sign them for being Catholic, so as to look good? we'll sign anyone, the religion they practice doesnt come into it, if they're good enough & we can afford it, we'll sign them, I have no doubt about it. What if we havent signed any Irish players? ever thought that maybe their no fucking good enough? would they WANT to come to Rangers considering where they come from? you obviously dont think before you type.
