basic techniques of the staff require that you have already mastered techniques like MABU and Kungbu (and their transitions) only then you will be able to generate power correctly ;-)

Hi, thx for the slow demo. IMHO, although one can have more strength and more stable when the staff is under the arm pit. But the arm pit has a vital pressure point, if opponent hold the stick and give it a force upward ( eg: giving a kick), then it will cause some hurt.
i admit that armpits can be sensitive , but the way the staff is held its very hard to put great force on it that way, also in a real fight it would only be there for a split second, if your opponent could grab it there, his skill would be so great he would probably win in any case ;-) !
