550MHz rated crossover cable. Perfect for distributing data, voice and video. Cat6 patch cords drastically reduce both impedance and structural return loss (SRL) as compared to standard 100 Mhz wire, which ensures error-free transmission! This is accomplished by bonding together each of the individual pairs, helping to maintain the twist-spacing throughout the line right up to the termination. Construction with high-quality wire and a shortened body plug will keep Near-end Crosstalk (NEXT) levels to a minimum.

Connector: 50-micron gold plated RJ-45 Male to Male
Conductor: 24 AWG Stranded Copper
Jacket: PVC
Crossed pin configuration allows you to connect two computers "peer-to-peer"

  • Question, I'm about to buy a crossover cable for my xbox, will it still be able to connect to the internet or is it only able to connect 2 xboxes

  • @whiteboy7890 You need a cat 5e network cable straight 568b or 568a, you can buy them at stores now in different lengths. Just ask for cat 5e cable some are up to 25 ft ready made. you do not need a crossover cable, and buy the way most networks now don't need a crossover cable they have what is called auto detect and the switch or hub or router does the conversion for you electronicly.

    Thanks 21 years telecom!

  • Technique is sloppy. You should pull the string to avoid using nicked pairs.

  • im trying to hookup up my xbox from the router do i use a straight or crossover?

i have a cat 6E 4 pair 23awg will this work it has a solid colour and a white for each pair no striped ends like im seeing on these videos

  • Crossover isnt obsolete they r still a networking standard, use crossover if your connecting UNLIKE devices such as ROUTER to SWITCH .etc..etc..but for ROUTER to ROUTER or SWITCH to SWITCH then you use straight thru cable.

  • CAT6 crossover? is there any computer out there having gigabit network adapter and no auto-crossover detection? i thought crossover cables are obsolete already.

  • @shyrell1979 he's not teaching the wrong way, he only forgot to mention that the cable has different color coding sequence on each end, if you have it with the same colors on both ends it is called straight through cable.

  • im pretty sure its L E D not led (like the silver stuff)

  • @BlitzDingo I did it just like you have it and worked great thanks.

  • WTF!!! the first color coding you said is, beginning from left is GREEN STRIPE, SOLID GREEN, ORANGE STRIPE, SOLID BLUE, BLUE STRIPE, SOLID ORANGE, BROWN STRIPE, SOLID BROWN ends on the left handside, and as far as i know, that’s the correct way of cat 6 crossover, after you cut and some BLAH, BLAH, BLAH,you change the fucking color coding???why it came as ORANGE STRIPE, SOLID ORANGE, GREEN STRIPE, SOLID BLUE, BLUE STRIPE, SOLID GREEN, BROWN STRIPE, SOLID BROWN?? WTF you are teaching a wrong way.
