The newest section of the International Space Station, the Tranquility module, arrived at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Fla., on May 20, to begin processing for flight. Tranquility is a pressurized module that will provide room for many of the station's life support systems. The module traveled from Turin, Italy, to Kennedy aboard an Airbus Beluga aircraft and was transported to Kennedy's Space Station Processing Facility. The module will be delivered to the station during space shuttle Endeavour's STS-130 mission, targeted for launch on Feb. 4, 2010.

  • Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's a triumph of form over function. OK, it is actually ugly, but I bet it's designers love it.

  • that is one ugly plane. :)
