  • How do you set up your planes, viewcube, whatever so that you can sketch from the top!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I have done everything and no matter what plane it is in I can never select the top view on the cube and start sketching as if I am looking down on the object instead of sketching on the front view and extrude it forwards or backwards. Please help!

  • @tastelesstouch You need to reorient the view cube. The view cube can be reoriented because the "TOP" to you may be different from what I consider the "TOP". Use the view cube to position the model in the isometric view you want, then right click on the cube and select set home view. Next, use the cube to orient the model to look at the face you want to be the TOP, right click on the cube and select set current view as "TOP". This should give you want you are looking for.

  • @tastelesstouch You can also change your starting sketch plane in the Inventor options. That may also work for you.
