  • it´s Edie SedGwick!

btw, they smoke a lot, they´re not having a cigarrette just for this particular interview in order to look cool! thats SUCH nonsense....

If you don´t like them, that´s just fine....as for me, im extremely thankful theres still people out there who make great music, and not the silly tunes people listen to these days...

    LONG LIVE THE KILLS!!!!!!

  • It hurts me that people make fun of these guys. They are not extremely rich asshole stars or anything. Real music doesn't need to be patronized these days. Original ideas are running out. Music is infinite, good music is not. Im sick of people calling good music hipster music. Im just sick of people. Fuck the world I suppose.

  • @artistsandbox It can be a bit of both, and it probably was in Edie's case. Things are rarely either/or, they are usually a mix of various aspects. In Edie's case she was messed up a lot of the time, but she had impeccable taste and a very clear vision of what she wanted to do. Some of the time... ;) And she was the daughter of a pretty damn good artist, and her family was very cultured. She had the very fine breeding that a background such as that affords.

  • these guys are literally too cool. Like, stop being so cool all the fucking time.

  • Good words. Lovely apartment.

  • @seedieedgwick true, it is a cautionary tale to be sure.

  • @LilacWine66 Pardon me, go watch a Vampire fucking Weekend interview and tell me that.

  • @artistsandbox They never specified that she became anorexic or did drugs because she considered herself a work of art. It was the way in which she expressed herself, is what they mean. Her clothes, her makeup, her hair, her art and the things she said and her philosophy of life. Yet the only thing that ever gets written in stone is how many drugs she took, not the art she produced. I think that's sad.

  • @Tigerlily21 You know what, the first thing you really need to do is educate yourself about Edie Sedgwick. The Kills have got it precisely right when they say that she lived her life as a work of art - little did people know, she was an artist pre-Factory. There's no excuse for the drugs that she did other than she chose herself do to them. She was not just some rich brainless socialite. And who is Sevigny to pass judgement, she and her infamous blow job scene?

  • @katiebobby I think Allison smokes Malboro Menthols, I've seen the packet when she got out in a festival.

  • @katiebobby I'm not sure what Jamie smokes but Alison Mosshart's perferred cigarette brand is Marlboro Menthols.

  • @artistsandbox by the kills I mean Jamie cause Alison didn't say much ;)
