  • Everybody knows the USA has a political-economical blackade on Cuba since the missiles crisis day, and eny one who denies it is in a dilutional state and wishfully blind. I don't like communism any more than you do; but I am not blind to the facts. And the blackade's weight has been felt most of all by the Cuban people, and I feel shame that our government (USA) has its wicked hands in it. I call things as I see them, and I don't give a damn who doesn't like it.

  • Si.

  • wow!

  • This song shocked me like a lightning strike the first time I heard it. Audio here is sadly crap -- if you've Spotify, there are at least three great versions of this song up on there and lots of other great stuff from Irakere along with it.

  • @pedrom41 And a lot of cred back to you pedrom, for saying that!! So true, every cent of it.

  • que musica increible, que ritmo y la voz de Oscar Valdèz inolvidable

  • @maikel307 As an African-American--member of a people who has known hardship, oppression, racism and bigotry as no other people--aside from Native-American--has, how the hell would it benefit me the suffering of the Cuban people or any other people for that matter? If you want to ride this shit with me you're going to be for the long haul. I have my bag full to dump it on you.

  • @maikel307 (part 2) Titled the "Cuban Democracy Act"--the blockade or embargo; which was officially imposed in full force on Cuba February 7, 1962--was codified into law in 1992. And in 1996 Congress passed the "Helms-Burton Act" to further tight the blokade. The pro-embargo Cuban-American exiles, whose votes are crucial in Florida, have swayed many politicians to adopt similar approach against Cuba. On Sept. 2, 2010 Mr. Obama claim that "the embargo is in the best interest of the U.S.

  • @maikel307 I'm pointing out to you what it's ultimately the botton line here--and that is, the suffering of the common people of Cuba. But you're pigheadedly stocked on semantic hodgepoged. I won't dispute or deny that the Cuban government is largely to blame for the hardship Cubans are facing, but to say that the United State's goverment has absolutely NOTHING to do with it is either sheer ignorance or willful denial. (cont. on part 2)
