Anyone know if this clip was touched up or repaired before they posted it online? Or was the reel in pristine condition?

Zaroff actually seems relatively sane here, as opposed to Episode 3 where he's clearly lost it.

@topofthepopsguy thanks for the info i just googled it and yes they are rescanning the frames of the video at HD quality it should not be that hard given its been well stored over the years

What's amazing is that the censor clips missing from Ep 2 still exist, as we all know. How's that for good luck? That'll make restoring the print much easier. Not so easy for Airlock, though...the Restoration wizards will basically have to remake the whole last 45 seconds of the episode, cos it's GONE. :) And that's before we even get to our old Crusading friend, the common or garden tramline scratch.

@AFRAIDOFSUNLIGHT1 Indeed, a most welcome Christmas present to say the least. However I would not hold your breath there. Have a feeling they will see these released on DVD so we have to buy the release to see the material. This is more than likely what may happen here in regards. It has been stated already online that they will be included on 2012 DVD releases. Still cannot wait for Ambassadors of Death, The Mind of Evil, and The Ice Warriors perspective DVD releases! Fingers crossed!

@corrietunes I agree. Also given that both Airlock and Underwater Menace 2 appear to have been EX ABC in origins. More than likely sent back for destruction in the uk, then slipped through the cracks so to speak. Is interesting that was missing the censor footage, retained by Australian censors. Makes me wonder if it could be this very print which the footage was sourced from and broadcast on ABC TV then? Have heard HD resolution scans of these are making their way back to the BBC as well.
