Jerry Garcia und seine Grateful Dead mit "One More Saturday Night" live im Beat Club am 27.05.1972!

You want, you got it! Here is the Grateful Dead with "One More Saturday Night"! . What more to say? Also called "the Godfathers of the Jam Band world", the Grateful Dead mixed various music styles on records and concerts: psychedelic rock, blues, country-western, bluegrass, country-rock and even improvisational jazz. Although Jerry Garcia, the spokesman of the band, lost parts of his right middle finger at the age of four, he became the much-admired guitarist of the band. The very loyal fans of the group were called "Deadheads" - even Don Henley sang about "Deadhead sticker on a Cadillac" in his 1984 hit song "The Boys of Summer". Normally, the band did large improvisations of their songs, but "One More Saturday Night" has a short, compact form. Sadly, it's the only official broadcasted song of a whole concert at the Beat Club studio in 1972. But maybe one day their will be some rare and lost tracks released from this performance ...?

  • wish i was as pretty as Bobby was back then! :)

  • @whitewitchoz Comeback? Hell, they were never gone. It was just a few years between the albums Go To Heaven (1980) and In The Dark (1987) but the Grateful Dead toured during that entire time with the exception of Jerry getting sick in 1986. They played Touch Of Grey, Hell In A Bucket and the other songs that would be on In The Dark as early as 1984. I caught at least a few shows every summer from 1984 until the end in 1995 with the exception of 1986. Great times!!!!!

  • drummer is trippin at 00:21

  • The lad on the guitar has a playing style quite similar to Chuck Berry. In fact this song itself reminds me of Chuck Berry, but groovier.
