I took my favorite ambient scenes involving the city, both close and far, and stitched them together.
Then I drastically changed the contrast and added additional light effects, in the form of glints, glares, and rays. It's a little over the top at some points, but I was mostly experimenting and did it to, I thought, enhance the atmosphere of PKD/Scott's vision and alter it a little.
Looks cool in some shots, anyhow. Try comparing screens from this with unaltered screens, and even just without the contrast change some things are dull in comparison.

Music from The Sushi Club, again.

  • amazing man! great, im actually glad that this movie was made before lens flares had been perfected tho, the are great! but it wouldve given bladerunner a completely different feel that im glad it didnt have, tho i heard the reboot is being done by J.J. abrams, so lens flares are bound to happen, and they chose him over christopher nolan and ridley scott? who the crap?!

  • @japanwarlord I will kill him personally if that tool remakes Blade Runner. He's completely competent and made Star Trek beautifully, but Blade Runner requires a different kind of care and caters to a more mature, patient audience. If it's to be remade, I can really only think of Ridley. Or maybe Neill Blomkamp, or maybe even someonly as unlikely as Fincher. Abrams makes energetic, fun popcorn movies. Blade Runner is dreary, slow, and thoughtful. THEY DO NOT MIX. /rant
