Great. He was the best of the group.

10 years ago today, RIP George

@paleyoungman Yeah, it's as if every song of Lennon or McCartney was so great. They worked together and that's why they were so great. After the break up NONE of them was that good any more. Harrison should have been allowed more space on albums. It's like saying that White Album was improved by Revolution 9 or Goodnight.

uh. madonna? take out your diamond encrusted notebook

@stampede331 i agree, they did not live up to my standards which are just so important. He owed all of us a better performance than the caliber of work of j&p. perhaps in the next lifetime i will ring his neck and ask him to write one more song, a song that i can put my holy stamp of approval and smug pride upon.as his work stands, i would rather sit... and thumb my nose at the naysayers.

@subg88 That's true. It's a great song.

You obviously aren't paying attention. The song is about living in the material world, hence the title.

Ah damnit never mind, Richie.

So if Ringo is not in the material world, does that make him god?
-
So Ringo isn't in the material world?
One of the best songwriters to ever grace this Earth.

@thenowuk I think he should have had more songs per album from The White Album onwards. I know that before then he hadn't matured to L&M level. I have mentioned before, though not on this thread, that I don't think he was doing the same caliber work as J&P previous to 68.
