@nomnomdk .linkages are used on the rear suspension to vary the lever ratio. as the suspension compresses, the lever ratio increases the shock movement and the suspension is firmed which is what we need. ktm did use a linkage in the early eighties, but abandoned it when they joined up (or purchased was it?) wp and their suspension suffered. only in recent years is the ktm linkless set up ok.

@nomnomdk its basically where the rear shock hooks up to, then the linkage hooks up to the swingarm. google "2010 ktm sx" and then "2011 ktm sx" and look at the swingarm. on the 2010 and before the shock just hooked up to the swingarm with no linkage

got a suspension linkage at last! we have only been waiting about 25 years for the return of a linkage on ktm. give them a year or two and they might get it right.

@xNCKxKrusty yeah! the radiator scoops remember me the CRFS aswell, the white tail, and the part which comes from the scoops to the number plates also. The new YZF front fender looks similar to the KTM one, agreed ?
