1. A lot of the people protesting are also MODERN Christians.
2. Atheism is not a religion. It's a term for the disbelief in any deities, which is what's needed for a religion. Calling atheism a religion is like calling monotheism and polytheism a religion.
3. Most religious people in the world ARE NOT Christians.
4. You really should find out what Evolution actually is first.

The reason Atheist are protesting is simple. IT threatens their religion...IE evolution delusion.
When they stand before GOD and get their sentence...I wonder if they will say "But you dont exist so how can we go to hell"

You WILL have to answer to God on judgment day, because the Bible tells us that NO ONE will have an excuse - because it implies that anyone with any brains at all can look at nature and the stars in the sky to realize that all of this didn't just happen but that a creative force was behind it all! If a dinosaur fossil is ONLY about 6 thousand years old, and we assume that a human life span is say 70 years (remember people live longer in modern times, longer in wealthier countries, so this number might be high) and 70 X 85 =5950, then that is saying that dinosaurs existed less than 100 human generations ago!!!!

@jfthe3rd Less than that! Remember people lived much longer before the flood that covered the earth. The oldest person recorded in the Bible lived 969 years. Adam lives almost that long.
