This is a multitrack cover version of the song "Am Brunnen vor dem Tore" (aka "Der Lindenbaum") in the arrangement from the German vocal ensemble "Comedian Harmonists". Der Lindenbaum (= the lime tree) is a famous so-called "Lied" (song intended for voice and piano) written by Franz Schubert in 1827, towards the end of his short life. It is one of the most well-known such Lieder of a cycle of 24, called "Winterreise" (= Winter trip). The lyrics are based on a poem by Wilhelm Müller. The song was made popular thanks to the TTBB arrangement by Friedrich Silcher.

LYRICS:
Am Brunnen vor dem Tore
Da steht ein Lindenbaum.
Ich träumt' in seinem Schatten
So manchen süßen Traum.
Ich schnitt in seine Rinde
So manches liebe Wort;
Es zog in Freud' und Leide
Zu ihm mich immer fort,
Zu ihm mich immer fort.
Ich musst' auch heute wandern,
Vorbei in tiefer Nacht.
Da hab' ich noch im Dunkeln
Die Augen zugemacht.
Und seine Zweige rauschten,
Als riefen sie mir zu:
Komm her zu mir, Geselle,
Hier find'st Du Deine Ruh',
Hier find'st Du Deine Ruh.
Die kalten Winde bliesen
Mir grad ins Angesicht!
Der Hut flog mir vom Kopfe,
Ich wendete mich nicht.
Nun bin ich manche Stunde
Entfernt von diesem Ort,
Und immer hör' ich's rauschen:
Du fändest Ruhe dort,
Du fändest Ruhe dort.

@Relleumppm Fortunately it says so in the title, if you bothered to read, ha ha.

Quite good and quite enjoyable despite some slight intonation and balance problems.
What a shame they use the name of the fabulous group from the 1930's!
MrFpam 7 months ago
@MrFpam Why shame? It's their arrangement.
trudbol 7 months ago
@trudbol But the quality of the voices is not nearly as good and it gives people a false impression of the Comedian Harmonists who were quite outsatanding.

@MrFpam It clearly says in the title that it's a collab. Just read before you watch.
No need for condescending comments, we're amateur singers who produced a FREE music video that you just watched.
I just love that the people who write unfriendly comments always have ZERO videos on their page. Sure gives you a lot of credibility.
