Patiences takes Flight

Incomplete short film I did my final year at the Joe Kubert School. 1/3 of the animation is complete. Most of the film is rough key animation. There are demo voices but are not synced up properly for some reason. Animation drawn by hand and shot in Toon Boom Studio. Backgrounds painted in acrylics.

It's kind of like a rip-off of the Lion king at the beginning...

And even in the rough, your voice acting could improve...a lot...

Yeah my story wasn't very strong. This was only a student film and the voices were only demos.

Unfortunately me and one other student were the last graduating class for animation. The school concentrates of comic and graphic art. Best advice I can give for looking for a school for animation is to make sure the school teaches strong, traditional fundamentals of animation.

hows the school, and i noticed that its a 3 year school so what type of degree do you get?

The school is like boot-camp for artists which is great for meeting deadlines. You're taught by professionals in the field which is always good. You get a diploma when graduating but leave the school knowing how your portfolio is so pose to be and how to get a job. Every school has it's ups and downs but all in all it was the best school for me.

oh one last question, how is the school in the Animation feild, i havent been hearing alot about that...
