  • I have a question, I have no idea about vinyl and turntables - I just recently became interested in setting something up. I'm looking into buying the PSLX250H, but I don't know anything about the actual setting up. If I were to buy a decent set of 2.1 or 5.1 speakers, would I be able to hook them up to this turntable through like... an auxiliary port? Or is it more complicated than that

  • @StandardofPurity well, 5.1 is overkill for vinyl unless you have extremely rare quad record players lying around, lol. vinyl is mostly in stereo or mono, so having stereo speakers is good enough and even 2.1 you could probably get by with just fine. i also just made a video about the basics of turntables, so you might want to check that out. i go into more detail that you can actually see for yourself.

  • wow is it really hard to make a recording with the light on?!?!?!?! "why do ppl do that?"

  • @comrade86 the lights were on. that camera didn't do well in low lighting conditions, but it's all i had at the time.

  • @lmull3 what I actually did was change the channel on my stereo which seemed to fix the problem, thanks anyway.

  • @lmull3 Thank you so much, very helpful! Have a good one

  • @UnchainTheNight1 maybe the cartridge has gone bad, that's what the needle goes into. assuming you can remove it from the headshell on your turntable, you can just unscrew it and replace it. if the headshell is just plastic and not removable, you might be out of luck :/. if that's the case, i'd look into a turntable that has a removable headshell. it will make replacments a lot easier.

  • I bought this turntable about 10 months ago, and it has sounded beautifully until now. One day I turn it on and it sounds wrong, noisier and it sounds like its coming out of crappy headphones... except from speakers.

I thought it was probably the needle so I changed it out, sounds the same. Then I thought perhaps I blew a tweeter playing a synth loudly, but it doesnt sound messed up playing a cassette. I asked you because you seem knowledgeable about this kind of thing. Thanks for any help.

  • Alright.

  • i have a question to ask you if you still check these comments
