TENNESSEE ERNIE FORD assisted by Richard Roberts: Hymns Med.

One of THE BEST interpretors of sacred music was the legendary Tennessee Ernie Ford, who probably sold more inspirational recordings than anyother artist in history! Here the gifted Country Music Hall of Famer is assisted by Richard Roberts in a medley of favorites, including some nice harmonious duets, including Just a Closer Walk with Thee, What A Friend, Just Over in the Glory Land, I'll Fly Away, This World's Not My Home, Others, It Is No Secret and How Great Thou Art. Richard Roberts was a pretty good singer in the 1970's when this video was made, and is the son of Oral Roberts. Oral had some prime time specials with famous guests and was joined musically by his son, who's ex-wife Patty Roberts was also featured on the specials, along with a fine musical group, The World Action Singers.

It just seems/ed odd to me that many of the other TEF items on here allow ratings. I just assumed it was because it has Christian content. And heaven forbid I'd be able to give Christian music a good rating on youtube.

O brother...the assumption that EVERYTHING in this world is designed to punish Christians is pretty tiring! Here you have a wonderful medley of gospel tunes by the great Ernie Ford, and someone only finds negative things to say...this is what gives so many Christians such a black-eye and seem so whiney!

Because ratings reflect just a personal opinion and aren't really of any value. There are people who have things like political conflicts with some entertainers, for example, and aren't smart enough to separate those from a performer's ability to sing.

I remember this show when it aired I am a big fan of TEF and also RR. I once had OR pray over me when I was a baby and to this day I have never had another problem as God truly healed me. I love this video and thank you for posting it.
