One of the things new film directors don't get is casting the parts to an effective actor who looks the part......Look how vulnerable Carol Kane looks and how authoritative Charles D....is!!! The remake sucked big ones!!!

This is pretty spooky. The remake is another teen movie that millions of people flock to go see. The directors these days, they dont have any sensitivity towards the horror element; it's all about action and continuity -puke. It leaves nothing for the viewer to ponder.
