On July 10, 2009, several members of the Bob and Ann Kelson family hiked Mount Timpanogos in central Utah during a family reunion. The reunion was scheduled around Karl Kelson's imminent deployment to Iraq. Karl is an officer and a physician's assistant in the U.S. Army. For this reason, and for the fact that it was the first time the four Kelson brother had participated together in an outing since 1995, the hike was especially memorable. Mount Timpanogos helped us form some memories that will last forever.
I have hiked Mt Timp many many times, never had time to go to the top though. It's one of my "bucket list" things to do. My Brother and I buried our Mother and Fathers ashes at the base of Mt Timp some years ago. Our Grandmother was the second woman to climb to the top and had her picture in National Geographic. She would have been first, but was walking behind the woman who was.
