How many of these "polyglots" are real polyglots? Off the bat, I see some fakes like Steve Kaufmann and Benny Lewis. These guys aren't fluent in any language but their native ones.
There are too many fakes and posers on Youtube. Usually these con men are just trying to make a fast buck. But for the most part, I think people are just trying to have fun; which is a good thing. But I think if people are going to give advice on language learning they should be honest about their qualifications.

@jeminijem1 You obviously haven't seen Moses--Laoshu505000; he can run circles around her. He learned languages all on his own, without help from schools or living in another country. Just books, chat rooms, dictionaries and people he has met or worked with; with no prior knowledge or training in any language. And speaks and/or studies languages that are now dying out from non-use such as Navajo. Anyone who speaks more than 1 or 2 languages deserves their due because its not easy.

i really appreciate you taking the time to do what you've done at the beginning of this video only to demonstrate that learning a language is not that easy. I really do.

@jeminijem1 i've learned a lot from Steve Kaufmann. Actually, i've been watching his videos for a while , and i never heard him saying that he achieved near native fluency in any language he speaks.

The first impression I had when he was doing that was: Oh, he went crazy by studying too many languages! lol

I thought the book was free? I went to the link you posted to Docstoc and you have to pay to download it and become part of their club or whatever. :o(
