Wars are fought everyday. When war crimes are committed, i.e., children being slaughtered, mothers, and non military family members slaughtered, then it is up to the international community to intervene, and bring the criminals to justice. That's all that needs to be said.

Straight out lies. Don't you feel shame spreading such lies, which can be easily checked and overthrown?

It is exactly the opposite, what was said by EU committee. Russia is blamed only for "not taking all possible actions to prevent the conflict". Georgia is blamed without doubts that they pulled the trigger first.

That's how it is.

@fitte6 Thats all bullshit..the EU blamed both Russia and Georgia for what happened, they never placed the blame on either soly and placed far more blame on Russia than Georgia. More importantly, the US blamed Russia, and rightfully so considering they had been shooting at Georgia since January and instigated, trained, and supported the rebels against Georgia.

After a lengthy inquiry investigators commissioned by EU concluded that Georgia started the war with a ill-planed and ill-executed invasions of the separatist republic. In a rather high risk and somewhat crazed maneuver gambling big time with real, expected and purely imaged US and EU backing and depending on the lack of a military response from the big and cuddly bear up North - Shelling the living daylight out of Russian peacekeepers and civilian Russian citizens in the process.
