It was very difficult to plane wood accurately.

  • how did you plane such a small piece of wood so precisely?

  • I used the lathe in the work place.

  • Would be cool if the mouth was a little wider (ive seen a lifesize version of it, was really cool watching it)

  • I also saw in the science museum as a child.

  • forse un buco nero

  • how did you do the planet simulator like that?

  • Try to follow one ball. You get a bit dizzy! :D

  • @djdede me too

  • after the balls entered then where they go?

    do they disappear?

  • @jtackman Ok that's what I thought. Very plain though.

  • @ez2animate it's an orbit simulation, the plane of wood simulates the gravity well of a body, the balls dropped simulate bodies orbiting around the central one, if you give one enough speed it will escape the gravity well ( as happened ;) ) but if it has just the right speed ( and no friction it will circle forever ). More likely as can be seen is that the speed deteriorates and the orbits decay into the middle of the gravity well (colliding with the body there)

  • @blanknot center of the milky way maybe? And cosmic expansion has this nasty side effect that right now it looks like there's not enough mass in the universe to cause a "big crunch" at the end of it all, instead we're gonna go out in a really really long whimper as the suns slowly die out and finally the black holes evaporate, finally proton decay annihilating the last matter in the universe. All that will be left is the background radiation in accordance with the preservation of energy law :)

  • I dont get what this is showing.
