Almost exactly a year ago BOOM! Studios made history by simultaneously debuting our comic NORTHWIND in comic shops and online at MySpace Comic Books.


While some of the people doubted the effectiveness of this promotion we saw a complete sell out of issue #1 and we saw a 30% increase between issues #3 and #4.

We sold more copies of issues #4 than we sold of issues #3. What this means is that fans who didn't have a chance to buy issue #3 on the stands, went out and bought issue #4. The only exposure they had to issue #3 and previous issues was on the MySpace Comic Books page. In 25 years of comics I can't htink of another time I've seen that sales of a mini series like that go up. There has to be something else to it and in this case it was the online promotion. We listened to your feedback on the NORTHWIND promotion, so we made a big decision.
