What I find scarey about this movie is that it could happen ... e.g Dinosaurs ruled Earth for about 250 million years, but now some are birds ... many killed for sport or eaten by us. It makes one wonder about our own distant evolutionary future.

the remake was horrible, but this is one of the greatest scifi movies of all time. This ending is like the "I am you father" form Star Wars- nowadays everyone knows it, but back then no one saw it coming AT ALL.

Just watched this last week I think this is the only time in a movie when chills go down my spine, just the waves crashing with no other music is creepy! and the statue of liberty is all rusty and gothic and also creepy!
