As the Festival of the Sun begins in the land of Soleanna, Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik amushes it in order to capture Princess Elise as she is out in the open. Unfortunately for him, he forgot that Sonic always conveniently arrives at times like these, and Sonic makes it his mission to protect Elise from the Eggman. However, things will be a bit more complicated than expected, as a mysterious hedgehog named Silver seeks to destroy Sonic.


Sonic finally finds his way through the city, and meets a Shadow lookalike who sounds like Knuckles.
