Damaged hinge holes in cupboard carcasses can be a nightmare to repair properly and permanently. I've tried many methods and none work satisfactorily other than the repair plate method. The problem with this method is that more damage can be caused in repairing something which could be done invisibly.
The Hinge-Fix system works by replacing the damaged area with a plug which is invisible when the hinge is replaced. With a 22mm wide hinge, plugs can be fitted up to 20mm diameter. This can repair a lot of damage.
Plugs can be fitted up to 35mm. Obviously these can be seen but are not particularly unsightly.
The jig can also be used for drilling 35mm hinge holes in doors. This is done by making the hole progressively larger until 35mm is reached. This can be difficult to do by hand in one go.
Double sided tape can be used to adhere the jig when access is limited.
