I counted 72 pin holes in my rear tyre (most were very tiny) after riding about 60kl on a dirt and stony road. Can't believe I made it another 250kl home but tyre went flat over night causing bike to fall over and land against my car snapping off the front brake reservoir and fracturing the fairing and its support frame, in all just over $1000 damage to the bike. Tyre had done a total of about 6000 hard klms and was definitely ready to be replaced.
I don't get this video.... An extremely worn ROAD tire was ridden off road and your surprised that it didn't hold up?

@tiasboi3able no, not surprised it didnt hold up, but surprised it had so many pin holes, surprised I made it home, and pissed off that it went flat overnight causing a very costly repair. I've said many times that I don't blame the tyre. Not sure about anyone else, but I've never seen so many many holes in a tyre, thats why it's been posted, but judging by peoples reaction it must be a common occurence with the Michellin Pure... I hope that isn't the case

In reply to StraightR1Chaos, I've had 4sets of the purse and have had no problem with them, I didn't have a problem with this set either but I was amazed to see so many pin holes. As far as the Pure being a track tyre that's definitely not the case, they are a good sports tyre but are no where near as good as any track tyre. I now run a street legal race tyre and there is no comparison, but it doesn't last as long as the sports tyre so there's always a trade-off. If your riding an R1 and findin

I downloaded it because I've never seen so many holes in a tyre. It may be light weight but some structural integrity must be sacrificed in the process. The tyre is a little over rated in my opinion, slides around a lot when on the edge, and let's go when gassing up out of corners
