Star Trek Movie Preview from JJ Abrams

Star Trek Trailer: http://movies.clevver.com/video/138064/star-trek-teaser-trailer-1.php

This classic tale of the future, captured in a movie, chronicles the early days of Captain Kirk leading his fellow crewmembers in a new vision of the greatest space adventure ever: Star Trek.

In the latest trailer, audiences can venture where no man has gone before, after being introduced to the impressive U-S-S Enterprise. The famous vessel is being worked on by crewmembers, giving the atmosphere and movie, a very industrial feel. With the vast ships high-tech sheets of metal sheltered by bright-lights, this space odyssey looks like its going to be more futuristic than ever.

The new Star Trek team features Chris Pine as Captain Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Simon Pegg plays Scotty and Eric Bana is Nero. Some other famed humans being beamed up include Winona Ryder as Amanda Grayson, Zoe Saldana as Nyota Uhura, Karl Urban plays Bones, and John Cho is Hikaru Sulu. Of course, with space being the final frontier, the crew doesnt end there. Bruce Greenwood, Ben Cross, Anton Yelchin and Greg Ellis are on-board, and Paul McGillion plays a secret character. Plus, the original Spock, Leonard Nimoy, returns to the sci-fi action drama.

Now on the D-L, director J-J Abrams reportedly screened an early-cut version of the Star Trek film to a group at Paramount and the audience reaction was out-of-this-world. In fact, the studio decided to move the premiere date from Christmas 2008 to a higher-profile May 5th 2009 summer release. Paramount hopes this long lead-time will allow the public to circulate a buzz around the Star Trek movie leading to a big-time blockbuster opening.

  • "Entertainment journalism" is such an oxymoron. And, girl, have yourself a sammich... you are nearly transparent.

  • Nice interviewer, i could trek her stars

  • The Next Generation? Do your homework if you're going to be a reporter...

  • fart

  • ooooooooooyaaaaaaaaaaaaaa What is your phone number? i will be Dr. McCoy and you will be my next generation

  • The actor (Karl Urban) performance of Dr. McCoy was Outstanding! Chris Pine needs to find his swagger, Uhura was Spunky/ Nurturing, Chekov was Funny/Energetic, Sulu needs a comedic timing refresher course, Winona sweet!,Tyler Perry REGAL, Bana and his henchman brought fear of the Borg like chills...deep, Bruce Greenwood Sharp, Simon is a bloody riot! Zachary Quinto as Spock was Deliciously Eerie/Fantastic as a graduate of Nimoy School of Acting!

  • Wonder why stars salaries are going stratospheric, perhaps the lack of loyalty the studios are showing or how short lived actors careers are getting. a prequel where the advanced film techniques outdo the original series by such a wide margin doesn't do the series as a whole any good it just becomes a way of the studios beating a dead horse, though this dead horse seems to have some life in him. I like Stewart and Shatner but then I'd like to see Connery reprise Bond.

  • Wow, there seems to be a lot of controversy over her next generation comment. Trekkies are touchy.
