IDAHOMAN325: keep some extra clothing, just in case we have an all-out collapse and you can't get anything new.

wakeup2nwo , your going atlas shrugs =) , thanks for the tip spoiledbrat . I'll be stoking up on ammo , water filteration, food etc my point was just 2 or 3 pants in a rv seems a bit extreme but if its total collapse then besides cold weather locations it wont matter how many clothes you have. Our currency has already been shrunk in value by 96 percent since 1913 and the creation of the Fed. Bring back a gold standard Grrrrrrr

thanks for the interesting comment...I won't be buying up ammo just yet nor downsizing to 2 pants...I still don't see the 'collapse' as that bad...or at least not yet. I do see many of the organizations/institutions collapsing and that can have even more profound longterm consequences...most interesting to see the different views we take as we all peer into the crystal ball as we are all guessing, no? thanks again!

thanks for the note...not sure we need to government to fail but certainly be transformed dramatically...both parties have failed...as for taxes, just saw where Obama said the deficit will be $9 trillion and not $7 trillion...they said they had forgotten to factor in reduced tax revenues this after admitting to not accurately analyzing the economy in February...looks like your wish may be coming true...ha!

I get that 99.9 percent of us have way way too much crap then again we like crap so Im all on board of selling off most but 3 pairs of pants and thats it seems a wee bit over the top unless like these folks there actually going from a home to on average about 200 sq feet of living space of a RV . When Dear Leader needs a distraction the first thing will be higher gas cost so id hate to be filling that RV up around those times. Best of luck to them either way. God Bless

thanks for the note...we have too much stuff but if you think a little about the Economic Recovery Act, it's primed to have us pile on more stuff...gas and nasty inflation are two sore spots on our horizon...you seem to have sorted out some of the more important details...here in N. California, from what I can see it's very common for affluent families not to speak to each other, even living under the same roof...so your 200 sq. foot RV might help in that regard, no? ha...
