I am looking to wheel Evans this winter for as long as possible. My tow rig is an R.V. -- Question to you map guys is; 1. could you tell me the elevations of the lowest parking area before heading up? 2. The elevation for the main lot. 3. The elevation for the campground.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

looks fun, who is doing the map?
Evan's Creek is now on a winter closure schedule. . . Check with the Enumclaw US Forest Sevice Ranger Station but I think it's closed from December to April some time. Even then, depending on the snow pack it might be tough getting around if there is a lot of snow on the ground.

There is a "parking area" down on Hwy 165 as it splits after the one-lane green steel bridge over the river. From here it's 7+ miles to Evan's and you need to be road legal. Not sure of elevation but at least a couple thousand feet lower. The camp ground and main staging area at Evan's are about the same elevation (~3800 ft) and from what I hear are under some snow right now. Trails top out at ~4800 ft. Snow gets up to 8 ft deep, even in the campground until late spring.

I'm working on the Evan's Creek Map. It should be ready in several weeks given my limited spare time for such things.
If you've seen the Reiter Trails Map I did I'm shooting for something similar for Evan's Creek. The Reiter map was good enough that I got a call from the DNR for my mapping data.
