I'm sort of a phish "noob," it was my first Phish festival, i didn't start seeing them until the 2009 reunion, but since them I've seen 26 shows plus the festival, so I'm well-seasoned, but no Phish experience is complete without going to a festival.
I remember seeing all the activity from the camping area, crazy noises, strobe lights and fireworks goin off, I literally thought there was construction going on down there, either that or aliens had landed. It was like if Phish were to have a rave, that's what it'd be like. Amazing.
this was insane!! I walked in for maybe the last 20 mns right before they went into Sleeping Monkey. I was planning to walk down for it around 2am and turns out i was 40 mns late haha. Nevertheless, this was maybe the most insane live music experience I've ever seen. And one of the best Phish moments ever.
My group and I didn't know where the hell this music was coming from until we all got back to the camp but it was awesome watching people's reactions to this experimental Phish. Great study of human behavior. So. Cool.
