Hackney Riot - Mare Street - London's Burning

Footage of the damage and interviews with locals from Hackney, Clapton and Dalston. The rioting started in Hackney at aprox 16:30 on Monday and continued to spread as did many other riots in London. The looting and vandalism started in Tottenham on Saturday night, after police shot an armed criminal of African descent. The rioting and looting is partially motivated by racial tension in the city but many criminals are taking advantage of the disorder.

@imcrzy4me I think your living in fantasy land my friend. The support is NOT for the TEENAGE YOB rioters who were setting fire to shops and attacking the police. The support is for the grown ups who were protesting peacefully.

The young rioters have given the UK a bad image.

Multiculuralism, Ethnic diversity, Black folks etc.. have all shown itself in a very bad light.

It also showed that the UK's police and the justice system to be weak. The criminals have the upper hand.

I can't believe I grew up in such an idiotic world. Blacks and whites can't get along, muslims and christians can't get along. Im saddened by this entire world. As a kid, I thought racism didn't exist. Ignorance was bliss. Now that I've been looking at youtube, I'm seeing it. I'd expect the behavior from 3 year olds. Life is short. Instead of building and holding hands, you focus on condemning. Maybe not physically, but mentally it is. If you aren't building, then you are destroying. Sad world

the cuts the rise in tuition fees, it has to be done. We have a massive debt looming over our heads and now the government have finally realised they have been living beyond there means. The worse is yet to come, I've just lost my job because of cuts from the government, but you don't see me out there rioting. They have made the problem 100 times worse
