Superbe interprétation. Il est scandaleux que le prix ait échappé à Cazal pour des raisons de complaisance politique envers la Chine, j'ignorais ce "détail".

Xiang Dong Kong has stolen the prize...There was a good relationship beetwen Australia and China at this time...So jury decided to give the first prize to a chinese pianist...In order to make the chinese winner, jury decided to give the minimal points to Cazal for his Prokofiev's concerto and maximal points for Kong. Yes because, trust me or not, Cazal had maximal points before Prokofiev, and Kong had minimal points...

Yes it is. Busoni competition, I guess in 1988 or 89 can't remember. Olivier got 2nd prize, 1st not awarded.
Olivier got 2nd prize also in Sydney 92 with this Proko 2, and he certainly doesn't have the Xiang Dong Kong video ! (or he probably burnt it if he ever had it ... lol !)

Yes it is. The Busoni Competition in Italy. Cazal got 2nd prize (1st prize not awarded)
