Zenyatta work July 22nd

Zenyatta broke 3 lengths behind the first workmate. She went the first 3/8ths in :37.1 until the first workmate peeled off (around the 5/16ths pole). Green Cat jumped in at the 5/16ths pole and those two sprinted for home in 1:12.0 for Z and :35.2 for TGC. Zenyatta finished her last 3/8ths in :34.4 and galloped out 7/8ths in 1:25.1. The work was designed to have her work hard the entire way (it takes 2!)

The clockers initially didn't realize that the first horse was working and thought she had pulled up on the turn. Sarbonne went the first half of the work and then Green Cat jumped in and went the last 5/16ths and past the wire.

If you want, you can actually pretty much clock the work - all 3 horses - off the video. The times are correct - Bruno called the clockers to alert them the tab was wrong and it has since been corrected.
