A rehearsal video from the 2006 TAOM contest, my cabaret entry. Honestly, it's sub par now, but it's a fond memory that I thought I would share.

I was very young here, just barely had been doing magic for very long. I keep this up to remind me, and anyone else who needs it, when I'm down and out... to remind me how passionate I was for such a young kid, and how much I loved the art.

Yes yes, the performance wasn't great.
Shut-up. That's not what's important here.
If that's all you see, suck a tailpipe.

What's really here is the beginning of a dream and the first step towards realizing it...no matter how small of a step it was.

The final dancing cane move is a rarity that is seldom seen. I created it all my own, and later learned that it may be dramatically similar to another method. Either way, it's interesting... check it out!

  • Hi,

I am sorry, but you are not the first one with that move. Sure there are much more magicians doing it (world is very big). For example in FISM Yokohama 1994, Franklin did that in his awards winning routine. Anyway, you have a cool move, but you can't say that ryour the first one.

    My compliments.

  • Hi there!

Run back through any archive footage you may have and watch carefully, I'm quite sure it's different in methodology.

Either way, the move was created without any prior knowledge of such techniques, and the result you see on this video is, truly, my original move and technique for a no-hands full-body cane rotation.

Any resemblance to someone else's move is, therefore, purely coincidental.

    Regards,

    Aaron

  • I agree with you. It could be coincidental. But you shouldn't say "I am the first one on the world"... that's too much, do you understand what I mean?. Anyway, congratulations.

  • Valid point.

    :)

    Thank you.

    Information updated.

  • i like it, nice build, but that box on the end. useless... dancing cane is good performed, did you try fire one?

  • I could've, but they wouldn't allow fire in the contest that year.
