Sen. Orrin Hatch and Sen. Arlen Specter discuss "death panel" talk in the health care reform debate. Hatch says that the Democrats want a "government takeover" in health care, as well as other things he finds "objectionable." Specter calls the "death panels" a "myth", and stressed "the government option is an option." He also explains why he changed his mind on support of a government-run health option. "I think competition is good," he says. Specter also calls out Hatch on his "filibuster" and challenges him to go "back to the bargaining table."

  • I Believe This Was A Video Clip Of ABC News' This Week With George Stephanopoulos' Report On Hatch Against "Gov't Takeover"; Specter: Death Panels "A Myth" On Sunday Morning, August 16, 2009.

  • not only that. private health care is mandated

  • Um...it's not an option if you're fined for not having it!!

  • There's a tremendous struggle between stupidity and ignorance taking place inside Orrin hatch's brain. He's always been a clown, and it was a pleasure watching Senator Specter dispelling all the nonsense Hatch uttered during this conversation. Hard to believe that all these GOP senators have their head so far up the insurance industry's ass that they're willing to lie, cheat, and steal in order to keep the status quo. Repeat a lie often enough and it'll start sounding like truth, right, GOP?

  • Kent Conrad is also is the pocket of big pharma as well.. As a matter of fact all you have to do is look at the ones screaming the loudest and there is a pretty good chance they are dirty dirty dirty. If they vote on behalf of their bank accounts and contributions rather than we the people they need to be GONE. I am working on a virtual revolution. If you want to be involved send me a friend invite.

  • I would believe that.

Guess what else Smartassawhip, my Senator Arlen Specter has accepted over $500,000 from AIPAC / Israeli Lobby.

Both Hatch and Specter voted for the Kyl-Lieberman Amendment.

  • You're welcome.
