Metal Detecting an old Baseball field

My first Metal Detecting outing of 2009. I went to a ball park that has been filled. The coins are pretty deep, seldom shallower than 5".

@Redneckdipman people played baseball there for over 50 years, in that time they have dropped money.

How did you decide to get into this Metal Detecting hobby, im guessing.. ?

@violaskin I collect coins, and it was getting harder and more expensive to find the better quality coins.....I figured I could find some by detecting.

I like to go in the local forrest preserve i find a lot of old silver coins in there.

@epilepsy211 It's not illegal to dig in parks at least not where i live. But if people don't start filling up the holes, and picking up the trash before they leave. It won't be long before it is illegal.

@McKinleyKay I got mine from our city commissioner office. Where we pay out water bills and get permits. Good Luck!
