  • keep driving like that and ur tranny will be toast like mine

  • Actually, I want it go out. I'm about to start a 6-speed manual transmission conversion. So, as soon as I can, I'm junking the original.

  • man i want this car!!!!

  • Haha, yeah, I wish I had a nickel for every time I've heard that. Thanks!

  • those are pretty fast cars

  • Yeah, they're pretty quick. But with a supercharger or turbo kit installed, they're fast as hell.

  • @pyromonster99 your tranny goes out if you accelerate fast? not trying to sound smart I really don't know, preciate the feedback.

  • @pyromaster99 my 99 acura tl had head gasket problems along with a steering pump and rack and pinion problems so i sold it but the transmission never had any problems and yes the fluid was bright red wigh sweet smell of a cherry :)

  • we just bought ours a few months ago. i never got the big hype about imports but after owning a 200 acura tl im impressed and look forward to buying my next acura.

  • @pyromonster99 hey 225000 miles is a lot, most American cars have a hard time crossing 150000 miles, and my transmission fuild is bright red right now and not brown. But yea i hope it runs for a few years. Hopefully I will be able to post a video when my car's mileage changes to 300000 or maybe even 400000 :)

  • @goviveksingh you do relize the 99 tl has a more reliable 4-speed tranny which is not the same as the horrible 5-speed trannys the 00-03 tls have. still the 99 tl 4-speed does not hold up to abuse and heat like other automatics, im sure your tranny fuild is dark brown/black and the unit on its way out. unless you have been running syn type-f fuild, and take care of your care, but by the sounds of it you beat the shit out of it and dont care.

  • @pyromonster99 My car is 1999 TL with 225000 milesand i drive it like that everyday with no tranny problems :)

  • is this in manual or auto mode? I feel that the sportshift mode is a little delayed or slow to respond, especially if you are aggressively accelerating or shifting. sometimes you even have to blip on the upshift twice before the car upshifts. Also, I only wish it would not upshift automatically in first. usually faster in full auto mode in my opinion. Other than that, love my Acura and is still as smooth as the day it left the dealership. Engine is fantastic.

  • this car is so much fun to use the sport shift with!

  • I got mines up to 140 and could have kept going
