is that an op amp? or a transistor?

Its just the ease that matters. Why code in asm and not hex? Likewise, for beginners, arduino coding is a lot easier to start with rather than raw C.

You can use anything, even a text file! Hell, you can even write it in Notepad and make it IDE compatible by including it right at the top!
Ironically, the very person who helped me come to this conclusion what the "dumb brony" that pointed it out to me. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have done this.
Oh, and @MLPCircuitjack, that's not needed now, but thanks anyway. :)

Very well, @L0MY, it's time to revise my position.
What, Didn't the angry tirade reach you? I hate to shatter your illusion about "real" C, but the Arduino sketches every single user is using is based in...take a guess? That's right C/C++!
How can the IDE work to provide it? Simple. Every file has an "Arduino.h" or a "WProgram.h" include at the very top. It's that file that allows the IDE to translate the C code into the Wiring-style code. Don't want to use the IDE? You don't have to!

Sure haven't. Bring me up to speed please.

ever heard of twisters? I have big hands too.

Oh how I hate breadboard with my king kong hands

Very nice.

Uh, newsflash guys, I hate to buck you all in the face, but Arduino itself is written in C.
Okay, it's not "Real" C, but it's still the freaking same! Come on guys!
Don't believe me? Fine. As a matter of fact I will make a video that proves it to you people!
It's a joke. It really is.
-
Not sure if that was a joke about ASM and C being low level languages.

Ugh, a language fanboy. I never thought people would get this low.
